Creator Guidelines

Rules for Creators and Cover Artists on Song Wake.

All creators

Accept or pass within 72 hours. Your take-home is 80% of the price you set, on every order, including Auto Pilot.
Connect your accounts so we can confirm your audience. Manual numbers are capped until you connect.
Buyers and creators must not communicate personally, on or outside Song Wake. Contact support@songwake.com for help.

Use the official sound when available; otherwise the order audio. Music must be audible for 15 seconds or the whole shorter clip. Credit the artist and song with #ad or paid partnership, tag the artist on every post and include the tracked link.
Keep posts public 30 days and Stories up the full 24 hours. Submit post links for account checks, and Story recording and insights within 24 hours. Unavailable checks remain unverified until reviewed.

Every post must tag the artist's account on that platform, so they can repost it. Their handle and a ready-made caption are on each order page.
Instagram and Facebook posts and Reels: tag the artist in the post and @mention them in the caption. We recommend a Collab invite; the artist can decline it, so the tag and mention are still required.
Instagram, Facebook and TikTok Stories: add a mention sticker for the artist so they can reshare it.
TikTok videos: @mention the artist in the caption.
YouTube videos and Shorts: @mention the artist in the description.
Twitch, Kick and other live streams: the chat line includes the artist's @handle.
Covers: the same rules for the platform they're posted on.
Confirm you tagged the artist before submitting proof. On connected accounts we check the caption or description for the artist's @handle; if it's missing, edit the post and submit again. A buyer can dispute an order where the artist wasn't tagged.

Play the song as the package describes, post the chat line, and upload proof before the deadline.

Joining is optional and done from Past Jobs. When a buyer makes one of your posts a Forever Post, you receive $34.99 and agree never to remove, archive, hide or make private that post for as long as your account exists.
If you do, the buyer is refunded in full and your $34.99 for that post is taken back. A first violation removes you from the program for 3 months; a second removes you permanently.
Posts removed by the platform, or lost because your account was deleted, carry no penalty.
You can leave the program at any time. Leaving stops new Forever Posts; existing Forever Posts must stay up.

Post within 25 days of accepting. Have the song learned by day 20 and aim to post between day 15 and day 23.
Use the caption from "Copy caption": it names the song and artist, tags the artist, and includes #ad and your song link.
Keep the post public for at least 30 days. We check on day 7 and day 30; taking it down early can mean losing the payment and a strike.
Never release the cover on Spotify, Apple Music or any streaming service.
